The Sky Suspended
Drew Middleton
The author, Drew Middleton, chief of the London Bureau of The New York Times, moved to Europe in 1939 and lived through the Nazi attack on France. He then moved to England with the British troops when they evacuated. This book, written 20 years later, gives his eyewitness account of the Battle of Britain. It includes RAF log entries, a concise recounting of the three phases of that battle, and interesting information gleaned after the war from the German files in Berlin.
